This program is primarily aimed at facilitating the transition of Quebec’s cultural companies towards the production of original interactive content or to encourage them to increase their activities in this field. It reinforces the capacity of these companies to develop a dedicated or specific field of activity for the creation and production of interactive works as part of their overall diversification strategy and also encourages networking between companies, partnerships, knowledge sharing, and interdisciplinarity.


  • To be eligible, applicant companies must:
  • Be a legally incorporated for-profit company

  • Be headquartered in Quebec and majority-owned by persons whose tax residence is in Quebec

  • Be active for at least three years and demonstrate the capacity to finance its new activities

  • Respect all existing obligations to SODEC, if applicable

  • Proposed activities must be considered promising and innovative business proposals leading to the development and growth of the applicant company
  • Applicant companies, including their affiliated companies, can only submit one application per year
  • The budget necessary for the realization of the project must be greater than $75,000
  • The applicant company must invest at least 10% of the total budget

Eligible Expenses

  • Costs related to the development of creative, technical, and technological elements
  • Costs related to uploading, rights clearance, and documentation
  • Labour costs
  • Costs related to feasibility studies and market analysis
  • Administrative costs (10% of total budget)
  • Technological infrastructure (materials and software)

  • A description of the new field of activity to be developed
  • A detailed description and schedule of the work to be accomplished
  • Anticipated short- and long-term results
  • Detailed provisional budget and funding structure
  • Contracts with project partners
  • Financial statements
  • Detailed financial forecasts
  • Master file, including:
  • A description of the applicant company’s activities and accomplishments

  • Current business plan

  • Copies of the governing documents, certificate of constitution, articles of incorporation, declaration of registration, certificate of amendment and partnership or shareholders agreement (if applicable)

  • Organizational structures for the applicant company and, if applicable, any affiliated companies, including shareholders

  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant company’s executives

  • Information on shareholders/directors

  • Copies of contracts with project partners
