Description
The residency is intended to enable a Québec choreographer or dancer to reside for two months abroad, accompanied by an artistic partner of his or her choice. The professional partner may come from one of the following fields: the circus arts, the digital arts, cinema and video, the multidisciplinary arts, the visual arts, popular song, dance, literature and storytelling, the arts and crafts, music, architectural research, and theatre.
Working as a pair in Potsdam will enable the recipients to develop their artistic relationship and explore new avenues for creative collaboration in the realm of contemporary dance.
The amount of the grant is intended to support part of the costs of the residency (insurance, travel, subsistence).
Information of the host institution
Fabrik Potsdam is an international centre devoted to dance and the art of movement that emphasizes creation and dissemination. Every year, it organizes the Potsdamer Tanztage, a veritable hub of dance in Europe. It is one of Germany’s foremost contemporary dance centres, a highly professional one that works in close collaboration with numerous contemporary dance centres in Europe.
Fabrik Potsdam will make available to the guest Québec artists a work and research space, its office infrastructure and professional follow-up by its artistic directors.

Criteria
- Artists with at least two years of artistic practice.
- Not eligible:

Groups of artists.

Projects carried out under the supervision of an educational program are ineligible.

A project that has already been rejected by the Conseil is ineligible for this program.

A group legally constituted as a not-for-profit or profit-making company or general partnership is ineligible for this program.
