Description

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, THIS PROGRAM IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The goal of this program is to assist in organizing activities that will promote literary works outside of Quebec, primarily presented by writers, storytellers, or specialists in the discipline. These activities will be presented in partnership with another organization.

Criteria

  • Must provide a confirmation of at least three shows or activities
  • Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the activity
  • Maximum of eight concurrent projects with CALQ per year
  • Not open to book fairs, public and school libraries, bookstores and publishers, project already supported by SODEC, school tours, or book fair participation
  • Applicant organizations must use professional writers, artists or storytellers, or recognized practitioners in the discipline
  • Eligible projects must involve the dissemination of works by writers and storytellers outside Quebec; these activities must be part of a partnership and collaborative project.

Eligible Expenses

  • Accommodation (maximum $140 per day) and transport fees, rental and insurance fees
  • Marketing fees
  • Translation fees for excerpts included in shows
  • Communication fees (up to $200)

  • Copies of the organization’s general regulations
  • List of board members
  • Letter of commitment from partners, if applicable
  • Copies of contracts for participating writers, storytellers and professional artists
  • Press kit
  • Curriculum vitae of writers, storytellers, artists, promoters, other participants
  • Supporting audiovisual materials
