Description

This section of the program promotes and showcases Quebec’s publishing industry within the province. It does so by supporting events with a national scope involving all of the supply chain as well as collective projects for the distribution and promotion of works from Quebec.

Criteria

  • Eligible activities are defined as events concerning distribution with a national outreach, or collective projects that significantly involve publishers and accredited bookstores and are able to reach other stakeholders in the supply chain in Quebec
  • Organizations must be under majority by Canadian citizens residing in Quebec
  • Organizations must be headquartered in Quebec
  • Financial support provided by this section of the program cannot be used for activities that are already funded by SODEC

  • A document presenting the organization, including:
  • Its mandate and mission

  • How the project or event applies to the organization’s mission

  • The organization’s expertise that will allow it to realize the project or event

  • An description of the collective and inclusive nature of the project or event, as well as confirmed partners and the nature of their involvement

  • A document presenting the project or event, including:
  • A description of the project or event

  • The objectives being pursued and expected outcomes

  • Structuring effects and impacts on the industry

  • Innovative aspects of the current edition

  • Targeted audience(s)

  • Resources necessary to carry out the project or event (human resources, materials, etc.)

  • Communication strategies

  • Implementation schedule

  • A provisional budget
  • Financial statements
  • Master file, including:
  • Copies of the governing documents, certificate of constitution, articles of incorporation, declaration of registration, certificate of amendment and partnership or shareholders agreement (if applicable)

  • Organizational structures for the applicant company and, if applicable, any affiliated companies, including shareholders

  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant company’s executives
