This program supports the promotion of books from Quebec as well reading through collective activities that bring together different segments of the publishing field. It also increases the visibility of Quebec cultural products.


  • Applicants must be members of the Quebec Association of Book Fairs
  • Applicants must organize an annual book fair in one of Quebec’s large urban areas
  • Applicants must assure facilitation through the participation of authors, publishers, and book distributors from Quebec
  • Applicants must reserve a portion of their budget for promotion and facilitation (20% for total expenses below $200,000, 25% for total expenses above $200,000)

  • Declaration of applicant company form
  • A document presenting the organization, including:
  • The mandate and mission of both the organization and its event

  • A brief history of the event

  • The event’s regional significance as well as its ties to the publishing field and the community

  • A description of the development goals for the event as well as the challenges to be dealt with in the medium term

  • Requirements for the maintenance and development of the event in the medium term

  • A document explaining the organization’s structures of governance, including:
  • The board of directors, indicating any vacant positions, as well as the board’s election and renewal procedures

  • A list of committees, including their roles, mandates, goals, and a list of committee members

  • If applicable, a resolution from the board of directors authorizing a representative to sign an applicant form

  • A list of regular employees and their role within the organization, as well as a brief description of the management team and its expertise

  • An outline of any changes to organizational governance anticipated in the coming year

  • A description of the event’s programming, including the main themes being presented, types of activities planned, target audiences, etc.
  • Information on promotion and communication, including:
  • Goals for the coming year

  • The event’s promotional strategy, as well as the tools and internal or external expertise being used to carry out the strategy

  • Promotional partnerships

  • Provisional budget
  • Financial statements
  • Master file, including:
  • Copies of the governing documents, certificate of constitution, articles of incorporation, declaration of registration, certificate of amendment and partnership or shareholders agreement (if applicable)

  • Organizational structures for the applicant company and, if applicable, any affiliated companies, including shareholders

  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant company’s executives

  • Statutes, regulations and, if applicable, code of ethics
