Description
This section of the program offers financial support to Quebec publishing companies to carry out a promotion plan for marketing works by Quebec authors in a given market.

Criteria
- Applicants must:

Be a certified Quebec publishing company or eligible for certification with the Ministry of Culture and Communications

Hold the distribution rights for the works indicated in the application, either internationally or in the targeted territories

Have a contractual agreement with a foreign distributor in the targeted market
- Only one application can be submitted during this program’s funding period
- A publishing company can receive a maximum of $60,000 cumulatively from Sections 1, 2.1, and 2.4 of this program over a two year period
- Publishing companies must be able to allocate funds representing 30% of the estimated budget

- Costs related to promotional activities and tools
- Press relations
- Web promotion and online community development
- Targeted advertising
- Translation fees for excerpts or promotional tools
Supporting Documents
- Completed SOD@ccès online application form
- A supporting text that presents the history of the publishing company and author’s presence in the targeted territory (sales figures, media coverage, etc.)
- Contractual agreement between the publishing company and the parties responsible for the promotional activities outlined in the application
- For the sale of rights, a comprehensive promotion plan for the target market, including a provisional budget
- For the sale of finished goods, a comprehensive promotion plan for the target market, including a provisional budget and a copy of the contract with a distributor or presenter in the targeted territories
